A two hour workshop to nurture and nourish your wellbeing with practical, simple changes to your food.
In this workshop, you will learn:
How to make sense of nutritional labels and what to look out for
The right portion sizes to best support your lifestyle
How all fats are not created equal and learn to love healthy fats
How to leave dieting behind and embracing healthy eating
The importance of fibre, protein and veggies, and how to add them to your meals
Tweaks you can make to meals to make them more nutritious with minimal effort
Simple recipes to help support your body
But that's not all! We'll also have recipe sharing, some healthy treats to try and a Q&A session with our expert nutritionist, Tara. 🍳👩🍳
A little about our Nutritionist, Tara Canning DipNT, memNTOI, FMed certified
A clinical nutritionist working in the health sector for more than 16 years, Tara also works alongside the GP and world-renowned medical Herbalist Dr Dilis Clare in her Galway practice. As part of her clinical team, Tara takes on the role of functional nutritionist: linking diet, medical history, lifestyle and presenting symptoms to uncover the cause of clients’ health problem(s). Tara also works in functional medicine in her own Nutrition clinics in Galway and Oranmore.
She also guest lectures in TUS: Midlands (formerly Athlone IT), and works alongside GRETB on positive nutrition-based projects with a variety of students as part of the panel of teachers. Tara is passionate about empowering people to gain optimal health through nutritional therapy.
