This can be a challenging time to get back into exercise as fatigue and lack of time and body confidence can interfere. Our Postnatal Strength & Recovery class is an empowering and supportive class led by Sarah, a professionally qualified postnatal trainer and Mum.
Strength exercises focus on the areas of your body which have been weakened through your pregnancy and labour and on the muscles that need to be strong for feeding and carrying your baby and baby equipment. Expert information and handouts on nutrition, sleep/rest, motivation and self care will help you to empower you in your new role as Mum will also be provided.
Your baby is very welcome to come along; this is a chance for you to exercise without having to get childcare - bonus!
Class size will be limited to only 9 Mums and babies for more individual attention. Please have your 6 week check-up completed and approval given from your doctor to exercise before you start this class.
Book your place now for our 8 week term starting March 11th!
Class time:
Tuesdays 10:30am - 11:30am
What to bring:
Your own exercise mat and water. We provide weights but if you’d prefer to use your own please bring them along. Please also bring a playmat and toys for your baby to play with if needs be.

“Where do I start?” is often the question I am asked when it comes to exercising and recovery after childbirth. No problem - I can show you and work with you to get the most out of your available time to exercise. The result? Renewed strength and energy for family life and help with feeling great in your body again.
My post-natal class includes:
1. Strength exercises focus on the areas of your body which have been weakened through your pregnancy and labour and on the muscles that need to be strong for feeding and carrying your baby and baby equipment.
2. Specific focus is given to strengthening your abdominal, pelvic floor and overall core area.
3. Mobility and flexibility exercises to correct any posture and strength imbalances.
4. A gradual increase in the complexity and intensity of exercise.
5. Nutritional information for more energy, healing, to improve your general sense of wellbeing and for weight loss and maintenance.
6. A chance to socialise and have fun with other mums and babies.
7. Handouts and discussions on other areas of postnatal wellbeing including nutrition, sleep/rest, motivation to exercise tips and self-care.
